Cebelio Project
In the years after the Christchurch earthquakes there was tremendous growth in both new builds and renovations as many people had to either repair their existing home or fully relocate to a new build. As the public became increasingly more interested in the sustainability and longevity of their materials, the interest in composites was growing.
This increased demand in the Canterbury area, had a significant impact on Futurewood who were already in the process of working on the logistics of supplying to the Christchurch market.
Due to an existing relationship this led to Cebelio being approached. Cebelio's owners realised this focus on sustainability was a perfect fit with their company vision of both recycling and growing the retail side of the business.
Since then (2014), Cebelio has been working hard as the Futurewood distributor for the Christchurch area. In the last 10 years they have helped their customers achieve their desire for a cost effective and ecofriendly option. Customers tell them they love that Futurewood is low maintenance, stylish and good for the environment at the same time!
Fast forward to 2023, having outgrown their Woolston location, Cebelio moved to new custom designed premises at 24 Kairua Rd and Wilmers Rd corner in Wigram. This new site is twice as large as the old one at 1800m2 of land area and 1300m2 of building. With customers wanting to have the option to see larger sections of their favorite deck color, it became obvious that a new display deck would be needed on the busy Wilmers road fronting Wigram site. With much appreciated support from Futurewood and deck installer Lance from L.A.B Building, the Cebelio team were able to design and install a wonderful new outdoor living showroom, complete with Futurewood decking and also seating manufactured from the same composite decking material.
It soon became obvious that Wigram was windier than the old site and so an opportunity arose to showcase another Futurewood product, the Enviroslat fencing system, which compliments the decking nicely. Combined with stylish landscaping including a beautiful Macrocarpa raised planter bed to aid with seating , the Cebelio team love this new area and utilize it whenever possible for meetings in the Canterbury sun!
